The Hi-Five with Ali Kouri / Museums
Welcome back to another episode of GGRMS+… For the latest edition of The-Hi Five.
We asked Ali Kouri from indie /rock/pop band Museums tp choose five albums that made an impact on her and her music. Find out how Nilüfer Yanya, Saya Grey, Feist, Grizzly Bear & Skaters made their way into her headphones, and which songs she has chosen for her Hi-Five playlist.
A FUNDING DRIVE MESSAGE
It hard to believe but The Go-Go Radio Magic Show has been ringing out over the CJLO airwaves for over twenty years!
We estimated that in that time we have produced roughly 1,100 episodes of The Go-Go Radio Magic Show, including the first two and a half years when the show ran from Midnight on Friday until 5 AM Saturday! Those were some wild nights!
We’re not mathematicians or anything, but that’s roughly 35,000 songs in carefully curated playlists!
Knowing our penchant for supporting local artists, we’ll take a guess that at least 33.3 percent of those songs were local, Québec or other Canadian artists, but it’s probably a lot more than that.
As CJLO celebrates another funding drive, we ask you to donate what you can, and remember that every dollar counts.
CJLO is a student run campus / community station that relies on the generous donations from listeners such as yourself, to maintain the station and cover equipment costs.
If you have ever tuned in to The GGRMS, have been a guest on the show or have had your music promoted on one of our episodes, why not consider making a donation.
It’s amazing how much has changed at CJLO, and within Montreal’s illustrious live music scene over the last 22 years, we consider it honour to still be involved.
The Funding Drive runs from October 23 - November 6! Find out all the details on the CJLO website. Here are the quick links for making donations:
