GGRMS February 2, 2024 w/ Feeling Figures

As the frigid temperatures take a wee break, our radio heroes, Prince Palu and Onlce Ian, enjoy the unseasonable warmth and reconvene in the cozy confines of CJLO DJ booth to bring another weekly dose of #RadioMagic.

In the first hour they preview a few more bands that’ll be gracing some stages around the Le Plateau-Mont-Royal during the evenings of February 8th to the 10th for the annual party known as Taverne Tour. Easily the best thing to happen to February since the birth of Gigi Brown! There is also the sad announcement that as they were doing the show, word came across the internet that the legendary Wayne Kramer of MC5 had passed away. RIP Wayne, you truly were an icon and a pivotal part in the foundation of rock ‘n’ roll.

In the second, Zakary Slax and Kay Moon, co-founders and co-vocalists of Montreal band, Feeling Figures joined to talk about the band, the debut album, Migration Magic, out now on K Records, as well as their show for Taverne Tour with Sweeping Promises at La Sala Rossa on February 9. As a CJLO alumni, it was so great to see Zackary again and an absolute pleasure to meet Kay for the first time. Hopefully this will be the first of many visits with these truly lovely people.
