GGRMS July 4, 2025 w/ The Reds, Pinks & Purples

We welcome San Francisco's Glenn Donaldson back onto the show to celebrate the release of The Reds, Pinks & Purples' latest album, "The Past Is A Garden I Never Fed", out today via Fire Records.

Since 1990 Donaldson has been navigating the American Underground, having played a part in such acts as Art Museums, Thuja, The Skygreen Leopards, Blithe Sons, Flying Canyon and Horrid Red to name but a few. Then in 2019 with the founding of The Reds, Pinks & Purples things kicked into overdrove. In the past six years he has released more albums than most bands record in their lifetime. Balancing official releases with Bandcamp only singles and EP's, The Reds, Pinks and Purples output is not only prolific but consistent, building beautiful worlds with two chords that connects the dots between listener and artist.

This is what the forever reliable Raven Sings The Blues had to say about "The Past Is A Garden I Never Fed"...

"This one’s perfect for walks with headphones and heartache. For every extroverted joy that’s rolling through the Summer months ahead, there’s an equal force just looking to find a corner to curl up in. A soundtrack for the cemetery walkers, for the library lingerers, for the late morning risers. It’s another untouchable collection from The Reds, Pinks and Purples. If you’re already enamored, then this won’t ease the obsession, and if you’re just getting started, it’ll give you the bug."

TUNE IN. TURN ON. FREAK OUT!
