Surviving suburban life in my youth.

What's your strangest experience while performing live?
Someone threw a lit cigarette at me once and almost set my shirt on fire.

What are some of your favourite aspects of being a musician in (your city here)?

It feels low-key. The shows are small and intimate.

Has the current COVID-19 pandemic and quarantine influenced your creative process?

I now have more time to write and record because I have fewer places I am required to be.

If you weren’t playing music in (your city here) where would you be ?

Dead.

Any sage advice for young musicians?

Don't be afraid to move on from an idea if it's not working.

Glenn Donaldson recommends…

Mister Baby - Blueberries

Kati plays bass in The Reds, Pinks & Purples live band. This is her solo project, and it’s incredible melodic pop.

Cindy - Deer in Japan

Cindy was one of the first locals we played with, and I was moved by their slowcore mystery vibe. They have since released two incredible albums

The Umbrellas - A. M.
